Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate instead of pure ascorbic acid. And that difference changes everything.
The classic problem with vitamin C in cosmetics is that it oxidizes. Pure ascorbic acid needs a very low pH to work, breaks down with light and air, and the cream ends up turning yellow before it's finished. It's the number-one complaint about this type of product.
This formula uses sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable vitamin C derivative. It doesn't need an acidic pH, it holds up without degrading, and the skin's enzymes convert it into vitamin C once applied. It is gentler than pure ascorbic acid — which is why it suits daily use, even on sensitive skin that can't tolerate a traditional vitamin C.
It is paired with tocopheryl acetate, vitamin E: the classic antioxidant duo in cosmetics, because C and E support each other.
